List of schools in the Toronto Catholic District School Board
The Toronto Catholic District School Board governs 201 schools in the Toronto area that makes up 30 secondary schools, 168 elementary schools, and 3 schools that combine both secondary and elementary grades.〔(TCDSB Alphabetical School Directory )〕 The list below also shows a number of buildings that were transferred from the Toronto Board of Education and the other boards in Metro Toronto throughout the 1980s. It is sorted by Trustee (with Superintendent).
The schools in the TCDSB shall be designated as either “Catholic Elementary or Catholic Secondary School in their official school name, unless otherwise approved by the Board. The names shall be given the name of Our Lord, Our Lady, a Saint, a Catholic tradition, a local parish church, a closed school, or an exemplary Catholic person of local, national, international, or historic significance as it will show below this chart.〔http://www.tcdsb.org/Board/Policies/Pages/S07.aspx〕
The list also includes seven schools that are currently in Conseil scolaire de district catholique Centre-Sud which were previously part of the board before the split in 1998. Several private schools are also listed here due to their historical association with the TCDSB.
